Description:
Schedule 40 elbow fitting is made of PVC and is corrosion resistance, high strength and has a slip connections. The fitting is installed between two straight pipes to allow a change in direction of flow from 0-25 degrees with a twist of the wrist achieving any degree without pipe bend or tension. The fitting provides superior flow because of its smooth interior finish, which reduces friction and inhibits build up of material.
The Haines Multiple Angle Connector is intended to be used for permanent installation for waste/vent and cold water pressure distribution (non-portable) pipes. It has female slip opening for sliding over the end of male un-threaded pipes.
Installation:
Use PVC Primer and solvent cement to join PVC pipes to Multiple Angle Connector fitting above and below ground. Clean and dry pipes and Multiple Angle Connector inlet slips before applying to all joint surfaces. Apply primer to inlets/male pipes that complies with ASTM F656 and apply PVC solvent cement to inlets/male pipes that complies with ASTM D 2564. Make joint connections while solvent cement is wet.
Caution:
The Solvent Vapor from the primer and solvent cement can make you dizzy. Make sure you
have plenty of ventilation or near a respirator when working with primer and solvent cement.
Recommendations:
• It is recommended that a “dry fit” be made before final assembly.
• Joint surfaces shall be clean and free of moisture before final connection.
• The joints shall be made while the solvent cement is wet.
